Hi all,
I am back as promised with new stuff that I find interesting in my life. Lately I have been surrounded with all things going green and all organisations promising to do their bits for the environment.
I have been thinking of what a common man, who has nothing to do but spend money can do for the world, and then this wonderful idea struck my mind. If we stop purchasing stuff with excess packaging, the corporate world will get the idea of what the consumer is thinking. For example I have started visiting my local market more often for my vegetables and fruits, and I have been saving atleast one bag of rubish every week.
Okay if you ask me why does it matter? The answer is I have a Tesco clubcard, and they probably track my shopping habits throughout each quarter. From last couple of quarters they have been sending me more offers for vegetables and fruits, because someone out there has noticed that I am not buying anything from their shelves.
If more and more consumers start doing the same, I am pretty sure the corporate strategiests will notice the change, and they will take action to address this. No one wants to loose business.
So it's actually we the consumers who have to take action first, and then the corporates will have to follow.

Back to blogging
My last update here on the blogosphere was me moaning about being irregular. Here I am again doing the same thing. Well there are couple of good news and some bad news to share here. Good news in chronological order as they happened, are as follows.
So 3 months gone since my last post, and I have so much material to write on, not bad. Now going on the bad news,
So with the balance of good news and bad news. Let me end this quarter with lots of informative posts. I hope I manage to keep the motivation going for blogosphere atleast.
- I was there at my best friend's wedding, and all the friends managed to be there. Can't believe we all met after almost 5 years. The bonus - everyone was there with their wives, or to be wives (as was the case of me).
- If you read the first one carefully, it gave away this bit. Yes I got engaged and married in a short period of time. Got engaged on 2nd of December 2008, and married on 18th of December 2008. Well it was an arranged marriage, so this kind of things are normal. I am tempted to write about this kind of rituals in India in a separate post, so will stop right now on this one.
- My sister gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, and named him Ark! Welcome to the world Ark Vyas!!! I hope I have spelled it correctly. No one wants to get tagged with a misspelled name.
- I started my new project at work, and will be using pretty cool tools. This is going to be the biggest thing on my CV I guess.
So 3 months gone since my last post, and I have so much material to write on, not bad. Now going on the bad news,
- After coming back from India, I have lost motivation of joining back my Gym. The membership ran out in March 2009, and could not find a good deal to renew it, so at the moment, doing nothing to keep fit.
- Marriage was a costly affair. I will have to re-invest all the time and money into applying for tier 1 visa in UK, which I was planning to do in the first week of March. Now it has went back to August.
- It is going to be about two months before my wife can join me in UK, due to the British High Commission dealing with unprecedented amount of visa applications this time of the year.
- My phone bill is running high for second successive month of year. I will have to recover the money from somewhere. Cashback claims, I am not gonna forget you.
So with the balance of good news and bad news. Let me end this quarter with lots of informative posts. I hope I manage to keep the motivation going for blogosphere atleast.
