Images from London Rathyatra

It was a lovely weekend, bright and sunny and was amazing that even though Met had forecasted heavy showers, Lord Jagannath did stop the weather ruining the day many of the ISKCON devotees were waiting for.

The famous Trafalgar Square was transformed into the streets of Jagannathpuri, where there were chanting of Hare Rama Hare Rama, Rama Rama Hare Hare. Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare in the air.

The above image is of Lord Jagannath in his chariot in the backdrop of the national potrait gallery.

There were atleast few thousand people queued up for prasadam, and maintaining discipline and order. I always thought that when how it would be possible to maintain order in such a crowd without police or security interference, but kudos to the volunteers and eqully to the devotees, who maintained strict vigilance even in the days of constant fear of terror attack.

This was the pic taken after the Prasadam, when people had seat in the feet of Lord Jagannath and enjoyed various cultural performances by ISKCON devotees. I do apologise, I was so engrosed in the function, I just missed to take pics of it. But next time I wont miss out anything for you guys.
